- Check the graphics card driver vendors web site for news.
- Switch Autodesk Inventor® to use the Microsoft OpenGL driver, but retain some level of hardware acceleration for the graphics card driver. This may be a very good option for notebooks or other low-end graphics cards. To do this, go to the application options, found under the Tools menu, click on the Hardware tab and change the settings so that Microsoft GDI Generic is used.
- Starting with version 5, Autodesk Inventor® has the ability to catch and ignore OpenGL errors This is the default action. This usually works if a driver has a non-fatal problem. However there is a risk in ignoring errors. To see if driver faults are being ignored, go to the application options, found under the Tools menu, click on the Hardware tab and change the checkbox to report OpenGL errors. This enables Autodesk Inventor® to report the first occurrence of a problem. This is very important information when reporting a problem.
Note: It is highly recommended that you download and install the driver certified on this web site before reporting problems.
